Hospital benzo detox
I had a look at some info today on where you're going mlc...
I think you need to keep in mind this is just a detox place - it's to get you out of danger, basically.
There's going to be a lot of aftercare involved, if not at the hospital certainly with your Dr your therapist and you

How much were you on?
Thanks dee. Yeah It's just a start. I think it will
Mentally prepare me. And go through that first little bit without the kids.
MLC-I have no experience to offer, but once you are off the benzos, you have a chance here to build the life you want, the life you and your family deserve.
Please take this chance.
I know you are worrying about the detox, but this will give your recovery a kick start. Getting clean is a HUGE step. After that, please reach out for all the additional support you need. I have had similar past traumatic events in my life to recover from. Getting sober didn't solve everything for me, but I slowly gained the strength I needed to unravel it all. And I couldn't do any of it when I was drinking.
Take one step at a time, keep reaching out. Use the aftercare. And believe its possible...because it is xxx

Im day 15 today off oxy, benzo's and a cocktail of other things, I did outpatient taper down with my Dr and it was horrendous the first 5 days but not as bad as in the past when id tried to do it cold turkey, the wd symptoms wern't as bad this time. Dee is right it will be to keep you safe etc. Ifinished my wd meds / taper around day 9 and 10 and today I feel fantastic. You can do it, once you get over those first few days you will be ok. Whats a few days right compared to the rest of tyour life clean and well. xx
