Hi everyone..

I just joined this site last night, so I thought I'd post a "hello" and figured this was the place to post it!

I am an addict/alcoholic who drank and used for 22 years, tried to get clean for 12, and now have a little over seven months clean and sober in recovery. I am very grateful for this, especially because I used to believe the way I was built was that I was just the kind of person who required drugs and booze to get through life. Now I know what a lie that was.

Yes, I'm in AA. I also go to NA sometimes, but the NA meetings where I am are terrible. My sponsor belongs to AA and my home group is AA.
