Some of us are/were very, very good at hiding it. We all know the routine - rotating where you buy your DOC, hiding the empties, trying to cover up your breath, etc. We all think/thought we were fooling everyone - but they know. The puffy, red face - hungover look,etc - it's nearly impossible to hide it completely.

I'm not suggesting that anyone just announce to the world that they are a recovering alcoholic at any given chance ( unless you want to ), but you pretty much are advertising yourself as a practicing alcoholic every day when you are drinking - whether you want to or not.

I certainly wasn't afraid to let the world see my drunken escapades...so I'm not afraid of the slight risk that someone may link me to my recovery on SR. More than that, I'm proud of my recovery.

That said, you have a responsibility to protect your personal information.
