New to recovery and this forum

I tripped across this forum and it looks like a really great place to talk about sobriety and recovery.

I graduated from the Schick Shadel treatment program on Feb 15, 2013 and have been happily sober since. The support system Schick provides is really great, but I enjoy online forums and this one seems very active, so I thought I'd jump in.

I realize my treatment was quite different than most, but the end result is the same. I'm sober.

Anyway, just jumping in and looking forward to participating.

Hello, and welcome. To me it doesn't matter how you got sober, we've all done it in different ways.
It's great to have you here.

Hi, I'm also a Schick grad. Being sober is amazing. And for me, Schick is what worked. I still think about drinking sometimes, but I can quickly dismiss it. No real cravings anymore.

Welcome, both shickgrad and SSHgirl It's good to have you with us.

I'd never heard of this treatment, so I've just googled it. Wow! So glad it worked for you

Schick Grad!!

I also graduated from Schick Shadel this year, they are awesome!!
The aversion therapy really works.
It's amazing to see how many people were there that tried the 30 day rehab programs in the past and now Schick works for them.

Contact me if you want to connect!
