Withdrawal :( codeine
Well after 4 and a bit years on painkiller I'm on day 3 with out any I cut down down last year from 250 mg tramadol and 360mg of codeine I cut the down 1 a week till I was on 8 codeine a day for a year ( I have been very ill that's why they put me on them) then I went to the doctors on 3 days ago and said I'm not allowed any more, I'm on day 3 now and I feel like **** !!!

Have you been tapering with support from you doctor? What advice did they give you now you're down to zero? Have you checked out any support like NA or are there any support groups in your area you can go to? x

Hi thanks everyone,
I lasted 3 day with no codeine and then went to chemist I got some pills with 12.3 codeine in them, the doctor was no help at all they took me them when I'm down as being addicted to codeine
, I'm feeling very Anxious all the time and snappy, when will this pass ?
It's a lot to come down from 8 x30 mg a day to 8x12.3 mg a day and going to drop dosage every week till I'm off them xx

It was a woman doctor and I get to much fluid on my brain so I need lumber punchers to drain it, I went to hospital and the doctor put the needle in my back wrong 8 times and was hitting Nerves in my back so a different doctor had to do it, I ended up staying in hospital.
Then the hospital sent a letter to the doctors telling them I should not be taking codeine so I went in to the doctors and she said I could not have any more !!! With my doctors you don't see one doctor you see any doctor from 4 different doctors Surgeries xx

I rang the doctors yesterday and there give me 24 x 15 mg of codeine !! I'm taking more from the chemist !! And I rang j2r a support place and have an appointment on Monday. I also rang my health visitor and left my number because she deals with mental health so hopefully I will start getting some help,
I went to college lastnight I was panicking at first but I just got on with it and I got in to bed last night and slept all night, so I'm feeling a lot better this morning xx
