Day 50
Day 50
Well, even though I consider myself a newcomer, if I make it through the end of today it will be 50 days sober. Longest I've gone in my adult life I believe. Things are getting better, but still not 100% - anxiety kicks in from time to time and still a bit foggy and off balance, but I think that's more just me worrying myself! Had a full checkup and all signs are good from that front too.
Just wanted to let others here know who are struggling that it does get better, and you CAN do it. My family and SR are my sole support mechanisms, so it's a testament to how powerful SR can be too if you let it.
So enough about me, best of luck to everyone else here for sobriety today, worry about tomorrow tomorrow. And a quick hello to any of my January 13 classmates who may be hanging out here too -sorry I haven't been as active posting.

I do like my cheese. Just picked up some 7 year old cheddar from a local cheesemaker last weekend actually. And yes, I am a Packer/Badger fan too. But I don't wear flannel ( most of the time anyway ) and I don't drive around with a dead deer strapped across the hood of my car ( unless it's opening weekend ).
Having said that, Wisconsin is famous for Drinking too - it's a challenge to be sober in a state where drinking is so intertwined with daily life. Every weekend there is a festival going on somewhere that has a beer tent. Even churches have beer tents at their annual fundraisers. And bars are everywhere. But there are plenty of sober folks too, you just have to seek them out.
