I've been gone awhile ....
..and now I'm back. I need help again from SR. I joined in 2010 and with the support of many here in SR I actually quit for a year and a half. Not sure what got me started again, but I took that first drink, and you know the rest of the story. I've been drinking again for over a year, and I know I need to stop, NOW.
I was just looking at my posts from when I first joined. The pessimism and despair of my first few postings and the energy and enthusiasm I had just a few months later. The difference was striking. I need to get back there!

Welcome back, Emmy. I can relate to the relapse, I had a six week run with sobriety last summer, gave into a "one drink wont hurt" thought, followed by six months of misery. You know you can do it, stay strong and don't give into that addictive voice telling you that tomorrow you can start again. I am into my 18th day of sobriety and looking forward to my one year anniversary, something I haven't achieved since my youngest was born in 1989!

Emmy,
Welcome back! You will always be welcome. My name is Clayton and I am an alcoholic. I was 22 when I called AA for help. It worked for me then, and it works for millions today. you are Alone No More. Make a local contact and get to the meetings.
Thank you for sharing!
