Newie says hi
Hello. My name is Jen and i have just registered on here. I am seeking help and support to stop drinking, trying to cut down has not worked! I have got out of control again and am worried. I have mental health problems and drinking has always been a part of my life. I cannot get to in person meetings for various reasons so am hoping this will be a good substitute.

Hello, and welcome.
I have mental illness as well. For me, it's important not to use that for an excuse to drink. When I did, it never failed to make me feel worse. And this went on for thirty years until I got help for my illness.
Try and take one day at a time. Keep in your mind where that first drink will lead you.
I've been sober now for two years. I hope you can do it to. I know how drinking will will quite the mind. But drinking led to disaster for me.
Stay strong in your resolve and post here as often as you like. I understand where you're coming from.
