In honor of my 10 full days...
Good Morning all,
I decided to pick up my lonely camera and take a few shots of some roses I recieved Tuesday....adding a little of my former (it's coming back!) creativity
This type of thing puts me in such a different place, it's nice to do something instead of sitting up all night being an angry drunk. I haven't taken any good pictures for months, truly my favorite way to pass time. I added them to my photo album here....just thought I'd share. The green one is called "Recovery" and the pink, "Shine a Light". I hope it's ok to post these here Have a happy Friday all!

Congrats! I think it's important to have a creative voice or passion in our lives to have an outlet for our energy and for balance. Recovery, especially early recovery, opens up the door to so many things - things we used to do and put off to drink, and new things that pop up as we explore and learn more about life out there.

Thanks for the nice compliments you guys ...and congrats to you too Alison on the smoking as well, a double-whammy....that's next for me. I tried when I stopped drinking but my body couldn't handle both at once.

Nice shots! Pardon the pun. I also am a photographer and I haven't been doing any of it last 6 months or more. Last night I played around with some old Pentax cameras I have and took a few film shots. I need to get back to that. I miss that. Oh and congrats.

Yes, it does feel GREAT to get back to something I loved so much but abandoned for drinking. Would love to see some of your work as well.

Congratulations!!!! Keep it up -- every passing day gets better!
Some days, it seems to get harder -- I don't want to lie. I'm at 16 days myself, and my AV seems to be rearing its ugly head more and more the past few days. But it gets easier to say "no," to KNOW you don't want to give up all the days you've worked so hard for.... and the joy from telling your AV "no" is boundless.
