All this is new to me and this is my first post. I've never gone to an AA meeting I don't think ill ever go rub elbows with cookie eating, coffee drinking peeps wanting to know everyone's business... So here I am and I'm gonna give this a try... What do I do next?

AA doesn't ask you to divulge or to talk about your business - in fact, you don't have to say a word. I just listened for the first while - had nothing to say at first. I was just interested in not drinking.

There are many ways to the road of sobriety - lots of different forums here with different kinds of information. AA was my path. Doesn't have to be yours, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention it.

However way you choose to stop the pain, to stop the madness of alcoholism, good luck.

Wecome Dimlitstar....I'm new here also & giving this a shot as well. To each his own, but I didn't feel AA was right for me either.
