I'm a couple of weeks ahead of you. We will do it together for many of the exact same reasons.

Bamagirl, I'm so glad you posted and that you know you need to make a change in your life in order to be the best you can be for yourself and your little child.

Believe fully that drinking is no longer an option. Shake up your routine for the weekends. Do something entirely different and plan to do something you enjoy. It can help to get through the initial time.

Hi Bamagirl,

Being a mom is amazing, it is also a lot of work!! Like you, I stayed sober during my pregnancies, but slowly started drinking again after each of my three children were born.

In October I finally reached a point where I said "I am done." It was not easy on the beginning, but has gotten easier as time has passed.

One thing that is important for me is to find time for myself, which isn't always easy between work and kids. Exercise has been a key for maintaing my sanity.

Glad you found SR!! Looking forward to seeing you on here.
