I don't have any recommendations for online sponsors, but I know they exist. Welcome to SR though, I'm glad you found this place.

At the end of most meetings they ask if anyone has a burning desire.. This is for people that might need help ASAP.. I would speak durning this time and ask if someone if you could call and talk till you found a sponsor of your choosing.. I bet you'll have many numbers to call before you leave the building... Wishing you the best.. Pm me if I can help..

I'm with Dave. I've heard people announce at meetings that they need a temp sponsor and usually a few people pop up. I do know that there are sites with online sponsorship but don't really know any more than that. Anyway, welcome.

This is how I did it...Maybe it can help you...I studied the book...First 164 pages...Especially the first 103...read it a few times. When I went to meetings I listened for someone that talked about recovery...The steps. When I heard someone that was serious about it and had some time...He had eight years sober...I walked up to him after a meeting and asked him....Can you take me through the steps as they are laid out in the book?...He said he would be honored....It worked.
