75 Days! 25 to go to my first goal.
This is a big thank you to everybody who has left messages of support for me on SR.
When I reach 100 days, I am going to buy myself a new watch with the money I have saved not drinking. Oh and some new jeans, lost over 2 stone in weight!!
Kind Regards,

Congratulations English!
We have the same sobriety date--All Saints' Day. And I still have that extra stone stuck on me; if I buy any jeans they'll be bigger size. Oh well, I was too skinny anyway and maybe it helps with the cold weather.
And this tip for newbies (a quote from Bill W) "Pass It On!" We can't keep it if we don't give it away.
Aloha!

Well done English.
I'm counting down too - 29 days until a year for me!!!
Get them old jeans recycled at a carboot sale.
I made £100 at mine at the weekend.
I bought a new frock with the cash!
I think you should get to Gap and get some 'super sexy bootcut' jeans to show off that two stone weight loss.

newatthis thanks for your comments. The only tip I could give is it takes abit of time to find what works for you and helps. I tried AA a couple of times, a alcohol charity and self-help books. Nothing seemed to work for me.
I then found a local group run by the town council. It's a drug and alcohol group run by users in recovery and some not. I have made some really good friends and attend four hours a day, three times a week.
But the main thing is I just don't want to or need to drink anymore.
