Day 3 Dealing with Stupid people?
Just wanted to chime in and say great job on 3 days and let you know you are not alone. I had very similar emotions when I quit. At 7 months I can bite my tongue a little easier (just a very little) and know what will drive me nuts and try to steer clear of the situation. Some things you can't change, but you have a much better chance if you stay sober. As you gain more time sober, some things you deal with better and other things you realize you never should have dealt with in the first place. Time will give you the answers. Keep up the good fight
Sometimes you can implement change with the right team. Sometimes you would be better off banging your head against a concrete wall. Things really will bother you in the first month that will not phase you a month from now. After a few months you may decide this job was never right for you and you may move on to a different department or company. We spend so much time at work that there needs to be something that you like about it. But you can cross that bridge much later. Its hard work staying sober early on. Try to find some tools to help you. I posted on SR, joined the May thread, did the AVRT crash course and asked a lot of questions. I wish you well.
