Good Morning

I am new here and have found peace within after reading the posts in this forum. Thanks to each of you for sharing your lives and your stories. It gave me strength as I ventured out to a party last night and did not drink alcohol. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be when people asked me: what are you drinking, etc. I simply answered: "Im driving"...and it was let go.
I found myself enjoying conversation with people as opposed to obsessing over getting the next drink. It was on my mind the ENTIRE night, believe me, it wouldn't go away (that feeling of wanting to have a drink especially as the night went on) but I stayed with it. I woke up today feeling energized without a hangover and I'm off (EARLY?!) to do my errands. What a powerful feeling. Good day to you all.

You nailed it. Good job. I found myself using the same line when asked. Works well. By now, pretty much all my friends are in the know. So nobody really asks anymore. That's even easier. Take it easy it gets easier.
