Hi NA
They know I overindulge (massive understatement!). They'd be supportive of me not wanting to drink and wouldn't encourage me. I can't see them abstaining over Christmas though and wouldn't expect them to. I just need to get past the idea that everyone else will be having fun and I'm missing out.

Maybe you could ask someone to keep what tempts you in their bedroom?
Sadly it all tempts me! If I stay sober over the next few days my guests can definitely take any left over's home with them when they go. I won't keep any alcohol in the house if no one else is here to drink it.
This is a dangerous statement. it promotes the erroneous idea that the only way to have fun is to drink alcohol. I would also encourage you to review what it is you will be "missing out" on exactly.
Getting over a challenge like this will make your recovery more solid
