Made it to day 6
After a rough night, I made it to day 6. Yesterday was the first day that I was really contemplating going back to drinking, and I am so glad I did not. To wake up this morning and feel awesome instead of hungover was such a relief. I was previously sleeping like crazy, but it took forever for me to fall asleep last night, and I was laying in bed thinking I could still go out and get a drink for hours. Once 2am hit (bars close) I knew I had made it. I want to thank everyone who gave me the strength to get through last night, and who encouraged me to stay sober. Without this site, I probably would have relapsed. Thank you all.

I use this OTC vitamin supplement that works well lately. It's by Schiff, called "knock-out" valarian, melatonin and some calcium i think. works well on the nights i have trouble. along with "relaxing tea"
isn't it better to wake up and think YEA! ?

good going! - well done!
evenings are tough - im going through much the same - i just remind myself how i felt this morning when i woke up - alive!! - do you really want to have the headache, the dry wretch, the smell, the shame, the failure after doing the hard work? - NO is the answer
your doing just fab - keep strong!

I'm one day behind you.......it's tough, but so good waking up without a hangover and suddenly I have so much more energy.
I agree with you this site is great and so helpful at this very difficult time.
Keep up the good work and well done.
