I want to thank you all for your replies!
I truly WAS excited today when I started this thread, and felt that anyone in my life that I told, wouldn't really get what it means to me. Except all of YOU! So I shared it with YOU!
I have been at work since early this morning, but I've been sneaking on SR and reading your responses, and thanking them, and all the while doing a little secret happy dance of delight inside my head!! Your encouragement and congratulations really help me celebrate!
Why is it that sobriety means more than anything? I would rather celebrate my (hopefully soon) year sober anniversary date, than any other date I can think of. Nothing compares to the sense of frredom, joy, and accomplishment I feel at achieving and maintaining sobriety. And I have lived awhile, and celebrated many wonderful once in a lifetime moments, as well as some dark ones. (Like we all have.) Nevertheless, between me and you, sobriety surpasses them all in terms of joy and gratitude.
To all those struggling or starting out, I know everyone says it, but, I am finding out for myself that it is true: it gets easier, and the rewards get better, each and everyday!
I've decided failure is not an option, and SR helps that happen. How lucky we are to have this incredible place!
Thanks again,
Love, EQ.

Aww, your post brought a tear to my eye EQ. I can totally relate to that though I am sure many don't understand. My sobriety date means more than anything else to me too, because that is the date I decided to start living. I think if I told anyone else that they'd think I was being melodramatic but it really is the way I feel. We're all amazingly proud of you and grateful for all of your inspiring posts x Massive hugs xxx
