Talked out of wine

So, I planned on a glass or 2 of wine tonight, but my friend was the voice of reason...went on about blowing my streak and regretting it in the morning...sigh, so we went through mcds and I got a diet coke...Was a nice evening, my small town is having its annual Christmas celebration and near the lake they have a pioneer village that makes you feel like an early settler. I, sober, almost knocked myself out in one of the houses because people were a lot shorter back then! I also found out what it means to "toast" your glass
..Just random sober nonsense...sorry if I bored you with this lol!

I'm glad you had a good friend with you.

Have you been thinking of other healthier ways to deal with the stuff in your life right now, Lola?

That's a great friend. A lot of my friends would've been saying "Yeah! Let's have some wine!"

It's things like that that remind you of means to be a good friend.
You are a lucky person to have friend like that, one who understands your problems and is looking out for you.
Where you live sounds really nice too, I would like to hear more...

Thanks everyone! My urge to drink is very weak so its not that hard to talk me out of it....I am just so physically yucky!! I do have a great friend for sure! I am planning on therapy and AA or something like it, starting a new job soon with new insurance so have to grin and bear it a little longer...grrr..

I was worried when I saw the title of this thread. Glad you had a good friend with you and that you listened to her Your evening sounds nice and the walking probably did you good too

This is a stressful time of year and you've had a lot to deal with. Starting a new job can also be stressful. Be good to yourself.

I am very proud of you!!! We are approaching the sixty day mark soon my friend! You and Fernaceman are two days ahead of me.

I keep picturing you walking into tiny houses like the munchkins had in The Wizard if Oz, I hope you are a good witch tonight, remember what happened to the bad witch!!!
