I am sober x2 days and thought I would feel better but hardly. Tremors basically gone but drenched in sweat, cold flashes and so nauseous I have done nothing but dry heave for the past 2 days. My best friend is a doctor and he came over and gave me IVFs but didn't feel comfortable with Ativan0 which I respect. He also got me some Zofran which is an antinausea medicine which hasn't worked for me. I did get 2L of fluids so I finally peed a little bit. I cannot go to the ER or I could lose my job. No hallucinations or DTs. Mainly GI stuff now- nausea and can't eat ANYTHING. Please God help me I've never done this but please God. I do feel a little better and can walk and put on my shoes and stuff.

Ziggy,
I'm sorry your going through such a rough detox. I'm glad your friend is a doctor and is keeping a close eye on you, as detoxing from alcohol can be dangerous. If you feel you need the hospital, don't fear the loss of your job.....your life is far more important! Keep posting.

I'm glad you have a Dr's input but like others have said, nothing as important as your health or well being so please don't hesitate to go to the ER if you need to.

My detox's were ugly also. You wont have to go thru it again so remember all this.
