Response to all who responded to me
Thanks for all of you who responded to me. I would like to use this site when I get more comfortable.
I will be attendding an AA meeting this afternoon in the basement of a Catholic Church. It is a great one and I will be celebrating 16 years at this same meeting on the 23rd of this month. I would have had 26 years but I had a slip after 10 years when I overdosed on prescribed medication. I had allowed myself to get soooooo low. I felt so sorry for myself and my mental illnesses. I wanted people to take care of me. I am so glad that now I am taking care of myself, mostly. Today I choose to not drink today and attend meetings often and reach out to help others and for help for myself. It is funny I wanted others to take care of me but I would not accept the help. Sound familiar to anyone out there? quietdawn
