getting this right

Hi my friends,
It's only me, crazy Diana. I made up my mind this weekend that enough is enough. So today I AM NOT GOING TO DRINK. I am going to stay busy. Take a nice hot bath later. Make some tea. Hope I can sleep. I am making myself eat heathy. Tuna sandwich on multi grain and chicken vegetable soup for lunch. I excersized this AM even though I thought I was going to die. LOL.
I hope all of you have a great sober day.
Diana

Have you got any other plans other than staying busy Diana? I only ask because that was my tactic for 'controlling' my drinking for many years but it didn't work. Have you got any support like AA or been looking into any other recovery methods? x

This plan sounds great, Diana.

Stick to it. If some little nasty demons emerge and start to convince you that you need a drink, just drown them in a hot bath).

Keep faith in yourself and never give up.

Have a great sober day.

You can do this, Diana!

Do you have anything in place (both mentally and physically) for when those cravings hit?

Wishing you all the best... let us know how you get on. x

Staying busy is a good plan to get you through the early days. And, hopefully, you will be able to find to relax and just 'be' with yourself. That was a hard one for me, but so worth it.

I'm glad you're having a good day.

AA worked for me and many others. I found doing it by myself just did not work
