Hi, Kmick!
I, too, am on my fourth day of recovery. Congratulations to you and welcome to the SR family. They have helped me every step of the way. I'm positive I wouldnt have made it these four days without them!

Good to see you here kmick. This place really helps in that you can see how others are going or have gone through a lot of the same thoughts, feelings and emotions that you have. I'm trying to be more active and post now, to stay involved and get my feelings out there, but even just reading through the posts you get a sense of how others have gone through this too. It helps. It also helps me to talk to friends that will listen, even if they can't understand the addiction. Sometimes they will ask questions that really can drive home the point of what this disease does, and the therapy of talking things out to them can help a lot.
Welcome to SR to the Four Day club! There is a lot of support here for you, so keep reading and posting, something will click with you. Believing in yourself and your ability to make this change in your life is the first step, the next is making that plan about continuing to use alcohol. Are you ready to do that?
