It was hard. Didn't go thru any of the DT's. Body felt very weak tough. For me it was more mental than physical withdrawals, even though I've been drinking 7-20 drinks a night for 20+ years.

Congrats on your week! Don't focus on what the "hardest" week or year or day is. Focus on the now. Alcoholism is a daily struggle. One day at a time, that is how we do it! I don't think about not drinking for the rest of my life, i think about not drinking today. I may drink tomorrow? Who knows? I just know that today I am not drinking. I get drunk, We stay sober!!!!!

Congrats on the week. But maintain your vigilance. It may be the hardest week for you on average, but you may still encounter the hardest minute or ten minutes ever sometime in the future. That's the way it is for me. The hardest week or two weeks is over but I continue to have very hard half hours or 15 minutes.
Hope that made sense.
Keep it up.

Keep up the great work, one day at a time. One week is a huge milestone. So is 8 days, and 9, 10...etc...
Great job JLMP,
