Well done Scott, the hardest part of the recovery is admitting you have this problem and then asking for help, you've done the right thing, I hope they take good care of you.
Please keep use posted, we are all wishing you the best.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight, stay strong, you're in the best place right now.

Scott, I was very happy to read that you're at the ER.
You 100% made the right decision to go there...I've been there myself...that was 19 months ago and I haven't touched a drop since.
Big hugs

Thank you all for your continued support. The IV is definitely helping me feel normal again. The reality is finally setting in and I feel ashamed but relieved at the same time that the nightmare will end soon.
Scott, I totally get the ashamed part...but I'm going to ask you to please allow yourself to feel good about making the decision to go...too many don't, and you need to find a positive in this situation.
Please don't wallow in feeling shameful...it helps you in no way at all...ya, know?
You're going to be feeling much better shortly, if you don't already, and you need that energy for positive things...you're going to be ok and you've learned from this...that is all that matters Scott.

Please be honest! You are so young. Many older folks don't seek help until it's too late. Congrats to you for stepping up. If they admit you call out from work and say you got admitted. They do not need to be told why.
