Uneasy

I know about HALT. I am currently too hungry, lonely and tired. In between guests at the salon. I have a raging headache and just want to go to sleep. I can't, I have one more guest to do. My back hurts, my mind is racing. And my addictive voice is raging! Guess I'll pray on it. And then come home and go to bed! I would love to sleep 10 hours tonight..... Wishful thinking, the pitter patter of the rain is perfect for a good night sleep. Oh, I suppose I'll eat somewhere in there..... And have my gummy bears at my bedside for the sugar I'm going to need. I can get thru day 4. It will be the longest stint in 2 or 3 weeks. Yay! Remembering balance right now. Stay as centered as I possibly can

You know what not to do...Get something to eat...Get comfortable...Log on here later...Pray on it....You'll get through it....Almost there. Why not stop at a meeting on the way home?....Might cheer you up.

I am currently too hungry, lonely and tired.
It's good you're aware of that - but we need to work on fixing stuff too....work on the ones you can easily fix right now...

hungry...grab a snack if and when you can...and tired...get some rest as soon as you can.

The lonely bit is trickier but if you're planning to go to AA that might kill two birds with one stone?

D

Ok, I think the hungry is fixed, the lonely is better thanks to all of you! And the tired has an end in sight. Get the kids in the bath, run to salon do my last guest come home, pop some melatonin and get comfy cozy watching the bears beat the packers. Hopefully I don't make it to half time! Thanks again everyone! You rock!

Close call at work..... So I went in to see my guest and the other stylist who was there late was leaving and said, hey I left u something on the drier, let me know what you think. I said ok, good night. Well, after my guest left I locked the door and walked into the back room and boom, there sits a glass of red wine. Oh sh*t!!!! I picked up, smelled it and dumped it out. And just shook my head. She didn't know any better, because I haven't said anything to her. But I am proud that as I stood in the salon, all alone, that I had the power to say no. Huge victory in my book!

That is a huge victory!....Awesome job...Maybe you should tell her one day. Just say you're not drinking for awhile. But that sure was a good test and you passed it...Give thanks.

It was a huge test! I will tell her tomorrow when we work together! I could have skipped to my car. But keeping balance here. Don't want to get too proud, ya know?

Chard, I actually had tears in my eyes seeing this. I just love that you took the initiative to do this...to me that speaks volumes.

Such a simple suggestion from Sugarbear...but yet means so much.

Way to go
