update
Well to update you guys I went from the beginning of June through the end of September without a drop... then I slowly started again, and then went back into drinking like before for the last month and a half. I worked it up to quit again and Now have been sober for a week. FML I hate how hard this is. I hated myself everytime I took a sip...I'm gonna keep fighting. I want to not drink again, ever.
Good on ya for having the courage to come back Neo. What's that saying about the mark of a man is not whether he falls down, but whether he has the strength to pick himself back up again.
I also went through a similar amount of time sober as you, and have come back here under of different name, so you're a bigger guy than me, and probably lots of other users here. Congrats on one week (it's always the most difficult) and give yourself a big pat on the back for dusting yourself off and starting the fight again!

Neo,
I feel your pain man. I also was in the Army and I know how binge drinking is just the culture. I also know how hard it is once you ETS. It's a world of difference. Keep up the good work =)

Hey guys thanks. I don't know about you all but I feel so much better when I don't drink than when I do. I have a great wife and three kids. We work on this together. It's as difficult as anything I have ever done, we have thought about buying a Breathalyzer to keep me honest. Has anyone else done that? I will pretty much do anything to stop. I have been sober for the second time around for 10 days or so now and I want this to be the last time...
