Hi Toby - I've moved your thread where you'll get more response
There's a lot of advice and support here - are you thinking of face to face support too - like AA or some other group?
Welcome to SR

Thank you for the reply
I have emailled AA and they have given me a list of support sessions but the next one in my area is 3 weeks away.
Its just comforting to know I am not alone as it feels like a massive issue and I feel I am coping alone
Thanks for your help

I'd check again maybe Toby? I'd imagine Liverpool would be a lot busier than that

Welcome to SR!
Meetings are held weekly. Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) Great Britain
I just found at least one meeting for each day of the week. Maybe get to one today or tomorrow?
Glad you are here!

Welcome to SR tobybeagle. :ghug3 Let us know how the meeting went.
I have to say I'm surprised that there isn't an AA meeting near you for 3 weeks. I live in the wilds of Derbyshire and I have 2 within walking distance, and one that's 15 minutes by bus every week. The others I go to are an hour by bus.
I know there's some meetings in London that aren't happening because of the olympics (people have upped the rent while they're on).
Hope you find the support and help you need.

Welcome Toby -
You've come to a great place! I remember feeling all alone, too, hiding my addiction and getting more and more depressed and anxious. It was a gigantic relief to find others who were going through the same thing.
We're happy you're here - congrats on making a great decision!
