Feel like a failure

I just can't seem to stop. I know I'll be sober tonight. No money. In the last few days , I've lied and stolen to get my fix. How low will I go? I have to beat this. Help/advice apprecieated.

Jails......Institutions....(insanity).....Death? We can go to some really low places. Why not consider doing something really different and save yourself now, while you can????

You aren't alone. Start again and change everything you were doing.....

Peace,

I once felt like a failure too. I was sure I'd drink myself to death while making a mess of everything. But I took to heart the encouragement from my friends here and my counselor to not give up, and now I'm two and a half years sober!!

DON'T GIVE UP!!

I think most of us have felt like that, Vajra - and it's easy to keep the shame spiral going when we resign ourselves to negative feelings.

We can only lose if we stop fighting

Do something positive - find support. I know your feelings on AA - if RR is not working for you either, maybe it's time to look at other alternatives out there - SMART, LifeRing, SOS...

Keep trying. Action is the key. Don't resign yourself to this.
Don't give up

Vajra - You obviously haven't given up on yourself or you wouldn't be posting - we're glad of that. Just keep reaching out for a better life. You don't have to settle for being in misery.

Glad you're still posting Vajra

Are there any secular meetings you could go to near you? If AVRT isn't working it's probably time to try something new..you can still incorporate everything you learnt from that too. Just keep building on everything you've learnt so far x
