Woke up at 6 am this morning,vacuumed and shampooed my carpets and mopped all my floors. I really enjoyed it to. So many days I was too drunk or hung over to even think about picking up a broom. Lazy and unmotivated. What a great feeling of accomplishment. It is the small simple things that I am finding so much joy in right now.I had my stereo on pretty loud. Wondered if anyone in the apartment was going to call the police because of the noise. Better to have them come for a loud stereo than a loud argument. Maybe I am on a pink cloud, maybe I am crazy, or maybe, just maybe I am happy to be alive and sober today. What ever the reason, I feel amazing.

Feels like a whole NEW life, doesn't it? That's what living - for real - feels like. Crazy how much we were asleep to, isn't it?

I don't like the "pink cloud" comment usually. Ppl tend wield it like a weapon....a threat....an accusation that you're just in denial again and not in reality. Sometimes that's true though, and I AM in a dreamworld....but sometimes I'm experiencing life the way it was meant to be experienced. My job is to be working on staying awake to my reality and assessing whether I'm loving life or dreaming.....and straighten up if I'm dreaming. Sounds to me like you're awake.....and noticing how great things REALLY are.
