Exclamation Help? important

Is it possible for me to just go into my local hospital and detox? my insurance doesn't like paying for anything -_- I went into a psych ward twice and they only paid for a week stay,so they won't pay for a 30 day rehab,so my question is,is it just possible for me to go into the hospital, detox and just go to meetings? I'm addicted to benzos, not hard core but enough and long enough to need to go somewhere.
also please don't suggest the psych ward, they were the ones to prescribe me these knowing I had a previous addiction,i don't trust them any longer.

You said it very well just now . You don't need to say anymore than that.

I have recently sought treatment in a rehab for booze, and I found that my insurance would pay for up to 5 days of detox at many places, but not the treatment and rehabilitation afterwards. This is because how the detox is recognized. Its recognized as a hospital stay even though you may not be in a hospital. Good luck, I hope you find the help you are seeking.

I hope you will seek the help you need regardless of insurance, Cait. It's not the most important thing. Your well being is.

I agree that honesty with a good medical professional should be an asset in recovery. It sounds like you may need a second opinion if they are treating you with what you are trying to rid yourself of. Maybe an addiction specialist?

Good luck. You've got my prayers.
