Exclamation HELP fell off wagon !

Here is the deal i was drinking a fifth of vodka and a 6 pack of imported beer a night i did this for about 2 years in January i went to rehab anyways after being totally sober for 3 months i fell off the wagon and drank ... not as heavy but about a 12 pack a night for the last 2 weeks . Will i have the bad withdrawal symptoms that will endanger me and will i need to taper off the stuff or check into a clinic or get a prescription ???

Sorry its just i am drinking tonight cause i am afraid of that happening .. if thats not the case and i will be safe well i will be cold turkey tomorrow. I'm kinda the kind of person that if i think i can get sick i will start feeling sick even if its not the case

Thank you for your time !

MIchael I am not sure anyone here will be able to answer that for you. It sounds like you want to stop drinking again. You did well for a period after rehab, is revisiting the medical people who helped you then an option for you?

I agree with Instant. Sometimes the rehabs...transition you into Outpatient after being discharged. Maybe that can help with a good relapse prevention program for yourself?

i could walk into a quick care place and ask but the point is do you become physically dependent very fast if you fall off ? I mean having sweets and not sleeping good i can live with just do not want to start seeing stuff or die lol

Hi and welcome Michael

I always recommend getting medical advice from your Dr, Michael - the internet's not the place to get medical advice like this - none of us are Drs, none of us know your clinical history, and withdrawal has too many individual factors - its different for everyone.

Play it safe and see a Dr.

D

They have medical Doctors there. Just be honest about your consumption and your fears. Follow the instructions and don't be afraid to go back if necessary. I'm not trying to scare you...I just want you to be safe.

Let us know how it goes.
