Gratitude - who'd have thought that?

I am now over 11 months sober. I do not know how it works , and I know it sounds crazy, but the daily practice of gratitude has made an enormous difference to my approach to life. I recommend this practice to anyone who finds they are having difficulty being satisfied with their life, and staying sober. Feel free to join us on the gratitude threads.

Gratitude has also done wonders for me. It makes my problems more bearable and makes me feel good about myself to realize all I'm blessed with. Being grateful made the difference between just being sober and being happily sober.

Yes! Gratitude! I don't take every day sober for granted, and it's been over two years sober for me.
When I was drinking, gratitude for me was enough money to buy more booze.

Now, it's the love of life, meeting new people, church, God and coming here or just being alone and content.

I love my new life, and I'm grateful for it every day.
