Hi, I am new to this website. I have so much to say but can't put my thoughts into words. Basically, I have been trying to give up alcohol for years and I just keep relasping. No real "trigger" that is/are evident. I thought I hit "rock bottom" when I found myself in jail, lost my job and lost my drivers liscence....but nope. 6 weeks of sobriety and blew it yesterday...again no real trigger. Sooooooooo frustrated! I feel so alone though I am surrounded by "support" and I KNOW there are others going through this. Just ARG!
Hi incircles, :ghug3
first off don't feel alone, I drank heavy for 20 years and hit the bottom of rock bottom and still drank. I also had no history nor justification for drinking in the first place. Why do we find ourselves in this situation, truly I do not know but you can beat it and we are all here in the same boat ready to help. First, make sure u see a doctor for health reasons then take a couple of days to read through the site and get to know the SR family, they are GREAT!!!!!
Welcome
BD

Welcome incircles. I know just how you feel. I kept drinking after I got my first dui - apparently I wasn't terrified enough. It took a few more years, but I finally 'got it' after finding SR. When I knew I wasn't alone anymore I felt so relieved. I found the encouragement here that I had been missing.
You can turn everything around and have a great life. We're here to help.

I have to ask you why you don't take advantage of that?.....I have face to face support with AA...And cyber support here....Why would you want to do this alone? And you probably are surrounded by it....Give it a try...Those people going through it are real nice people.
