Day 32! ooooh yeeeeaaaahhhh!
Hey everyone! Made it to Day 32 and got my one month red coin today. I've had some crazy stress the last couple of weeks and really slacked off on my meetings. My roommate/landlord whom we have been renting from on a month to month basis upped our move out date from September to the end of May. This means that we had to decide to default on our mortgage (we still own our house in Alabama) and i had to find closer to the big city that would let us have 4 cats and a parrot. Not easy. He decided to break it to us by just serving my husband an evection notice at work then walking off to a meeting. No sign of any problems at the house. This left us in a bad situation financially and emotionally for me. I'm finally feeling stable and making friends in AA here and now i have to relocate about 20 miles away (we have to be closer to my husband's job. Just one car).
Well, instead of giving up and diving into the bottle, i turned my fear and frustrations over to my Higher Power and got on Craigslist right away. I had to miss several days of meetings due to all the house showings i had to make but i finally found a place. The same day i found a place, i heard from our real estate agent that the short sale of our house had been approved. We have to default on our mortgage payments for the short sale to proceed so it's a good thing that i already called the bank and cancelled the payment, lol! Our credit check went fine and our new landlord has our security deposit. Our move in date is no later than June 11 and i am so happy that i am able to celebrate all of this clear and sober. I will miss the security blanket i have in my current area but the Milwaukee county area has tons of meetings and i'm looking forward to meeting new people.
