As long as I stay grateful.
Happy April 1 and Fool's Day. I hope everyone has a fun filled day. Its sunny but chilly here. But today I am warm and very content.
I am grateful that I found a program in AA that could save me from myself. I am so grateful that the program has shown me a way to find and believe in a Higher Power, because this nice way of believing in it has giving me a calming sense I never had before. In essence I have found true happiness and contentment that I thought I somewhat had while in the fog. But simply by trying to live my life day by day the way My God would like to see me live it is something to strive for daily. So I believe as long as I stay truly grateful I shall remain sober.
And another thing that with out a doubt helps me stay on the path of sobriety, is the feeling of loyalty to other members of AA. I have slipped before and I not only let myself down but my fellowship hurt for me also. When I was drinking I wasnt loyal to anyone mostly. Not my family not work nor friends. At least the way I should of been. So when I came into the AA and SR I found a group of people , who were not only helping each other to stay sober, but who were loyal to each other by staying sober themselves.
I am grateful for my program and SR today. Thank You all.
Smile cause sobriety looks good on YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good love, Inda
