Back Again

Hello All,

I found this online community to be such a source of comfort and help when I quick drinking. I resumed, and today saw a doctor for a prescription for librium to see me through potential withdrawals. My work hasn't suffered. My friendships are solid and I take care of my family. But I am dying on the inside. I am a textbook case of a functional addict. Tomorrow I start the librium regime. Best of luck out there to everyone tonight. I will continue to check in.

No, I am not. I respect AA, but it is not for me. I mean no disrespect, and I admire folks who have found sobriety and solace through the steps and fellowship.

I don't like drinking. I like being sober. Love how it feels. So I am going to hold on to the remembrances of sober life, look at my kids and realize how important they are, and how they need me, and how I treasure life.

I might be wrong...But I'm guessing that's what you tried last time...Maybe you should try something else...If AA is not for you...Why not try AVRT?...Try something different.

I don't know what AVRT is, but will educate myself. Thank you.

It works for some people here...I'm a member of AA...I don't know a whole lot about it...There are people here that do. Might as well look into it.
