everybody knows that we have difficulties in on day sober. if we could maintain that one day then we can do it forever. must take this concept in our mind..

Very true. I try to live in the here and now. Grieving the past is pointless and being anxious about the future is a waste of energy. One day is all I have to worry about.

Sorry but my first day sober blows. Shakes, nausea, vertigo, loss of appetite, night sweats and sleeplessness...still, i know it will get better. I just pray for no seizures. That terrifies me. My husband has an emergency supply of vodka encase my withdrawls get too bad. If worst comes to worst then screw it. Off to the ER.

There are physical remnants on the first day, but it's the first day! Starting over. Taking care of yourself. It's a good thing, but try to have few of them. Each day is a first day. Each day matters.
