One of the great things about being sober is....

seeing how happy my husband is now because he gets to spend the evening with his wife when he gets back from a long day at work and not have to deal with the drunken fool i turn into after a bottle of wine. Even though I am on this forum for most of the evening hehe. I know there are many more positives to come and I can't wait!! Hope everyone is having a good day!

Everyday you don't drink you'll notice little miracles that you'd walk right by while you were drinking...It's a good life...Do your best to hang onto it.

I am ashamed when I read journal entries I wrote or see pictures I took of my kids, and I can't remember the details. Thanks for this post.

Just think: your kids will never know the addicted Holly7. What a great gift to give them even before they are born!

Cooking wonderful dinners and tasting them.
Being capable at work!
Looking forward to mornings.
Waking up, stretching, and climbing out of bed like a normal person.

Everything. Everything.

I second the happy husband thing! I never knew how much my drinking bothered him until I stopped and he's just so much happier. When I was drinking, I would go in a room and isolate. Now I get to spend time with my family. So much better...
