Ok, today is only the beginning of day 2 but I have this very strange metallic taste in my mouth. Has anyone ever had that. Not sure if it because I quit or maybe a dental issue??

I'm not sure we are allowed to give dental advice here...Duke....But I've never heard of that...I'd get that from sucking on beer cans for too long...How's your day two going?...You hanging in there?

I am hanging. I have bowling league tonight which will be a challenge but I am telling the guys I gave up drinking for lent so the don't give me crap. I looked it up on the internet and that metallic taste is very common for alcoholics. Go figure, just one more crappy thing to along with the rest!!

I had that for about an hour today. It tasted almost like I had a piece of foil stuck in my teeth.

I detoxed in my rehab for 5 days...I don't remember much of it...Curious what that comes from...So bowling night on night two...If I could talk you into going to an AA meeting instead I would...But I'm not even going to bother...You really think that's a good idea?

l had that... and now and then l get it again and it reminds me of the hell l went through.
Hope l will have enough common sense to never let that happen again.

I honestly think it has something to do with the liver, could be absolutely wrong though.

from my experience the metallic taste is a rapid response to an adrenaline dump in the blood. i am speaking from a withdrawl aspect from my exp. it usually resolves in a few moments
