MRI Scan
My Dr has advised me to have an MRI tomorrow, but I am really worried about it; has anyone else here had an experience of this scan?
Also, will the MRI show any damage to my brain as a result of alcohol consumption? If so, what areas of damage does it show?

The MRI is to rule out tumors, blood clots, swelling....all things I'm sure you don't have because of the alcohol. But if you're going to the doctor complaining of unexpalined dizziness, headaches and what-not he's going to order this test just to rule out those things.
No need to panic and worry about things that have yet to happen. Relax. Take a deep breath! And, if your MRI clinic is anything like the one's I've been to they will make you feel totally relaxed and comfortable, give you a blanket and a earplugs and you'll be just fine.

You'll just have to answer questions regarding metal that could possibly be in your body... teeth, shrapnel, piercings, gun wounds etc... The you will sit in tube that makes funny noises for about 30min. Results come in a couple of days.
