Question on being selfish
Thank you all for the responses - very thought provoking for sure. We had a long talk about it, and she said it 'wasnt the candy eating' that pissed her off; it was a feeling that I was taking her for granted. Odd huh?
Anyway, I explained how I disagreed with that statement by pointing to the roses and like a ton of bricks it hit her. All is good now, but this episode will be on my radar.
Thanks again all for letting me vent.

Woman here, married, 18 years. I gave my hubby chocolates. He had one and I had not noticed, but I wanted one. The way i approached it was, "Have you had any of your candy?" he said he had one. So, i asked, "Are you sharing?" To which he replied, "Sure, you can have one." He does not offer because i am diabetic and watch my sugar and candy intake. He does not want to tempt me.
So, that is how it goes here. But, while I think you migh thave done better to ask before taking, I think she has a deepr axe to grind with you, especially with the taking her for granted issue she raised. The chocolates was a way for her to get mad at you for something else bothering her.
