One year today!
Hey all,
Well it finally happened. This former down and out, sick, lying, scheming, guttersnipe, poor excuse for a human being, hopeless miserable drunk finally celebrates a year of continuous sobriety today.
I'm so grateful for my friends here at SR that helped me through some of the darkest times early on and helped me work a 24/7 program of recovery the rest of the time.
AA is also an extremely important part of my life. My new friends are amazing people. I don't just attend AA - I am a fully fledged member.
I have freedom now. I don't HAVE to drink anymore. I'm no longer ashamed of who I am and what I've become. I don't leave a path of destruction whereever I go anymore.
Thank you all very much for being here.
