We have all suffered from that shame of admitting our problem in some way..you will be really surprised. When I stopped drinking I would meet people in places or doing an activity where there was no drink around, now I don't mind so much if they have a drink, and if it gets to where I am tempted then I can leave. When the people who really mattered and didn't have a problem knew they would always meet me at a venue or location to chat, and do something which did nor involve drinking. I wish you all the very best.

For the past few years I have never been with a cup of tea in front of my friends, especially the closest one. We have rarely had dry evening. Always 2 glasses full.
I don't think too much of other friends, just this one. He has noticed me drinking too much. Tried to stop, but I kept on drinking. Im not comfortable telling him that I want to quit.
