1st night alone

Into my 2nd week of sobriety and I've had my ups and downs but Im coping thanks to this site, AA and my boyfriend who has been an amazing support.

Problem though - his work has a once a month 24 hour duty which they all do on rotation and tonight was his scheduled night. So tonight is my first night alone in the house and sober ... I've been alone in the house before but have taken wine if fearful so Ill sleep however tonight Im all alone and already starting to feel panicy.

has anyone any tips at all on how to try to get to sleep alone? I've fallen asleep so far into my recovery knowing he's lying beside me incase I wake up with night terrors or bad dreams ... tonight it's just me and yet again the fear of the unknown is creeping into say hello

Hi Isabella. Maybe you could make it a special time to pamper yourself before you go to bed. Maybe a bubble bath & a book & then later some reading on here & some relaxing tea? Best wishes to you Congratulations on your decision to get sober

There's a "meeting" 24/7/365 here. Love it. Been on here many times in the dead of night.

Hang in there. Sleep tight.

God bless.

Just wanted to say I saw your post and I said a quick prayer for you I am a month sober and I have learned that reaching out like this in the 'most simple' situations can make a huge difference in staying sober. Sweet dreams

Thanks guys,

I had a very unsettled night but main thing is I got through it I guess .. one more tick of a box in the right direction ...
at about 4am I was that tired I took a panadol night(stateside equivilant would be a tylenol pm) and that seemed to send me off ...
