hi I'm new

I'm new here and don't know where to start i just know that I want help because the way things are going i'm going to lose everything and I have too much to lose. Is this just for alcoholics or for addicts too? I'm both and am having more trouble quitting the drugs right now but haven't got drunk in a while.

Hi, Tisa11, you have definitely come to the right place. We are all working to regain and maintain our lives and relationships by staying clean and sober. Some of us are still drinking / using, some have just decided that the last time was the last time, and the rest of us are still works in progress, but staying clean and sober.

I certainly understand about feeling as though I was this close to losing everything I valued. Please feel most comfortable and welcome here. Read as much as you can and post whenever you feel like it, k?

Hey Tisa,
Im new too! This is my 2nd day as a member and for me its been exactly the type of support i have been looking for. My suggestion to you would be to stay active with the community, read as many posts from other members as possible and post as much as you can. That approach seems to be the type of initial interaction i need in my recovery...I hope that works for you or you find your own successful technique...good luck.

I can relate. I had already lost myself long ago, but I was very close to losing everything else as well. You CAN heal. It takes hard work, and some days will be very tough, but you can do it. Open up and be honest. This is a great place to start.
Best wishes.

God bless.
