From everything that makes me want to drink.

Try reading. Or reading about meditation. Or meditating. You can get away from your thoughts & surroundings. Journaling helps, too.

Whenever I feel like that lately, I just go for a jog/walk around the neighborhood. All the houses are lit up, snow is on the ground, and there is nothing like a 12 degree temperature to really clear your head! It's THE most refreshing thing to do. (I think so at least)

I think it takes a lot of changing in behaviours to be able to recover.

There are bars and pubs in my neighborhood.

But I like going for walks.

I made a lot of changes in my lifestyle. It takes time.
I also had to accept fully that drinking wasn't for me. That took some time too

There are still bars and clubs and liquor stores in my neighbourhood but they don't bother me now.

If you have a bathtub, draw a bath. If not, stand under a shower. It is cleansing, and also requires you to be naked. This gives you pause to think. And you can't walk into a pub naked. :-)
