Doing the recovery thing
I am still sober. i a havent touched a drink in almost 3 months now. i have a clear understanding in my head about why I did drink in the first place. I cannot go down this road ever again as it is unthinkable what may happen if i do. I used to drink to get as far out of my head as I possibly could. there was no fun in drinking for me, just ugly escape.
I have struggled in the past. I have double depression. i woke up this morning and felt particularly lost. I am a fighter for sure. it isnt easy sometimes. I am looking forward to the day when I have my spiritual awakening.

Not everyday is going to be positive and uplifting, eddie. We, as recovering alcoholics, have to learn to deal the reality that we've been masking for years on end.
I'm happy you are strong and staying sober. Keep up the great work.
