Had enough...again!
I didn't "have" to drink, I just kept thinking I could have "just one."
I always finished whatever was there, so I didn't purchase more than six beers...ok, sometimes I did, but I would drink until it was all gone.
This is the insanity of our disease.
It's the First one that gets me drunk.
Today, I have my sanity back.

Welcome back!
I was in and out of here a few times too, so no worries -- I think that's almost the norm.
Glad you are doing whatever you can to get sober, however I will take issue with you saying that you don't believe that you are worth it, because I assure you that you are. I didn't think I was worth it and was drinking myself to death because of it, so I know what you mean, but it's simply not true. You are 100% worth it and it is always worth trying again.
Best wishes to you and here's to your future success!

You need to give up booze, and if you surrender to that fact, you will. Forget "just one". One isn't enough to get your buzz on, so why stop there? You'll need to have your usual 6 (or whatever). Which you shouldn't do, because it will end up killing you, somehow, some way, and making your loved ones miserable.
For me at least, each drink is a teaspoon of dirt I dig out of my own grave. After a while, it's deep enough for me to fall in and die.
