Medical question
Thanks for all the responses- question- have gone to Dr- getting an appt with specialist- may take another week. I am a very heavy drinker (8-10 every night) that has stopped drinking last couple of days. Someone said that I should not do this because it can put my body into distress. Is this true?
This probably sounds a little dramatic but maybe you should go to the ER since your doc is not available right now. Everyone is different when coming off the sauce. Each of our bodies reacts differently and sometimes we get in over our heads when we try to do this without medical assistance. At least you'll be in safe hands while detoxing. I've been thinking about you and if I were you, I wouldn't mess with it; just go to the ER for some help with this.
Please take care of yourself.
Much love.

and to Dees point, I didnt either.
I thought I could do the cold turkey way, even though i knoew it could be dangerous.
I was fine for the first three days, the mild shakes and foggy feeling, but woke up on the fourth day, having bad brain jolts and sweats, and didnt know where i was.
i called a friend who took me to the hospital.
they siad it was a close call as i could have gone into seizures. i was sure when i was in the waiting area that that is what was happening.
they pumped me full of valium and gave me meds to come down slowly and safely.
I am at day 63 and use that day as my bottom. i never want to go thru that or put anyone else thru that again
dont mess with your life. do it safely
